As one of the world’s leading gold mining companies, Newmont sought to showcase artworks that reflect the themes of land, minerals, and the layers of the earth. The circular pieces (right) incorporate sludge from mine runoff, demonstrating how the artist transforms something harmful into something beautiful. This installation serves as a powerful statement of Newmont’s awareness of the environmental impact of mining and their commitment to supporting efforts that mitigate these negative effects.
